Curcuma australasica - An Australian and South East Asian native ginger. Not only a stunning plant in the kitchen garden, but also has a long history of edible and traditional medicinal uses. The gorgeous pink flowers emerge before the leves. Best grown in part shade, in humus rich well draining soil.
