Thymus mastichina - Hardy perennial herb. Full sun.40 cms height, 50 cms width. Medicinal and culinary thyme. Especially favoured in Spanish cuisine. Can be used fresh or dried. Prefers a well drained soil. White flowers in spring and summer, which are very attractive to bees and pollinating insects. This thyme is the source of the essential oil known as oil of marjoram. Cold hardy. Native plant of Spain and Portugal.
