Fragaria vesca - A European native perennial strawberry. That produces good flavoured red fruits. White flowers throughout spring and summer flowed by delicious fruits. A very beneficial plant, used also medicinally and to produce herbal teas. Also a lovely ornamental plant, to about 20 cms height. Will spread via runners to create an attractive ground cover. Grows well in most moist well drained soils. Grows well here with partial shade.
