Achillea ptarmica - Hardy herbaceous perennial. 60 cms height, 1 metre width. Full sun to part shade. Prefers moist well drained soil and will grow in most soil types. Frost hardy. Covered in small double white flowers throughout summer. Flowers attractive to bees and butterflies. Medicinal herb. Flowers dried and used to make a tea. Drought tolerant once established. Leaves are edible and can be eaten raw or cooked. Leaves used as an insect repellent. Will grow in coastal gardens. Has a spreading root system.
