Satureja montana ssp. citriodora - Perennial.20-30 cms height. Full sun. Delicious lemon scent. Will go dormant in winter in temperate climates. An excellent culinary herb, can be added to a variety of dishes. Also good when mixed with other herbs such as thyme, basil, marjoram and rosemary. Can be eaten fresh or dried. An easy to grow plant, growing in most well drained soils. Also grows well in pots. A medicinal herb. A good companion plant to onions, beans and sweet potatoes. Pink flowers in spring and summer, which are very attractive to bees.
