Salvia dorisiana - Perennial. 1.3 metres height, 1 metre width. Full sun to part shade. Large soft intensely fragrant leaves. Magenta pink flowers from winter through to spring. Flowers very attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. Appreciates a well mulched soil. Requires a moist, rich well drained soil, water well in hot weather. Prune well after flowering, also prune lightly throughout the growing season to maintain shape. Leaves can be made into a tea. Can be herbaceous in cold areas. Will grow in coastal gardens.
