Salvia miltiorrhiza - Dan Shen Sage is used widely in traditional Chinese herbal medicine. Native to China and Japan Its roots are a striking red colour. A perennial plant growing to about 60cms height. Provide good drainage, but water regularly through dry spells. Flowers held above foliage.
