Rosa virginiana - A beautiful perennial wild species rose from Eastern North America. Beautiful pink flowers are produced throughout the summer, turning into bright red edible and medicinal berries. The roots are also traditionally used medicinally. A deciduous shrub growing to about 1.5 metres. The Virginia Rose grows well in most well drained soils.
