Origanum vulgare var - Hardy perennial. Full sun. 30 cms height. Will grow in most well drained soils. Culinary and medicinal herb. Eaten raw or cooked and can be used fresh or dried. Attractive aromatic plant. White flowers in the summer. Vigorous grower, making it great for frequent harvesting for cooking. Grows well in pots. A good companion plant for cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and cucumber.
