Allium cepa aggregatum - Perennial multiplying onion. Full sun. Prefers well drained soil, best planted in raised garden beds . Bulbs and green tops edible. A very productive vegetable. Use the bulbs as you would ordinary onions. A rare old heirloom onion, which are very rare in Australia. Will grow in most soils, but prefers a rich soil for best productivity. Bulbs left in the ground will multiply, providing a continual supply of onions. Harvested potato onions store very well, kept in the right conditions they will keep for up to 12 months.
