Myrtus communis subsp. tarentina - A culinary and medicinal evergreen shrub originating from the Mediterranean region, where it grows wild. Small white flowers in spring, summer and autumn, which are followed by the berries. Leaves dark green and aromatic. Berries and leaves used in cooking. The dried berries are also used as a spice. This variety of Myrtle is good for smaller gardens , with limited space. Grows to about 2 metres high. Grow in full sun to part shade, in a well drained rich soil. Limit 1 per customer
