Leonurus cardiaca - Herbaceous hardy perennial. 60-100 cms height, 50 cms width. Full sun to part shade. Cultivated for centuries as a medicinal herb. Used by the ancient Greeks and Chinese. Pink flowers held along stem tops, alternating with leaves. Prefers a well drained soil, and will grow in most soil types. Oak leaf shaped dark green leaves. Fresh or dried flowers used to make a tea. A dark olive green dye can be made from the leaves.
