Mentha x sp. - A deliciously scented herb, with the sweet aroma of pineapple. An excellent culinary herb, also good to make a herbal tea. Pineapple mint tastes great in cocktails. White flowers in the summer. The flowers being very attractive to bees and butterflies. Makes an excellent, fragrant ground cover. Regular harvesting of plants helps to keep foliage bushy. Best grown in a cool, moist position, with part shade. Foliage also good in Potpourri. Like most mints, this can grow very vigorously, so if you don’t want it in the garden it will grow very well in pots.
