Mentha suaveolens - Hardy, herbaceous perennial. 40-60 cms height. Full sun to part shade. Leaves used fresh or dried to make a herbal tea. Excellent culinary herb, especially good to make mint sauce. Used medicinally. White or light pink flowers from summer through to autumn. Prefers rich, well drained moist soil. Upright growth habit. Good companion plant to cabbages, peas, tomatoes and broccoli. Regular pruning or harvesting throughout the growing season helps promote bushy new growth. Cut back to the ground when foliage dies back in the winter, will regrow in the spring.
