Tithonia diversifolia - A versatile perennial plant from central America. Used as a traditional medicine for various ailments. Planted as a soil improver and green manure by farmers. A short lived perennial plant, not frost hardy. Grows to about 2 metres high, and produces pretty yellow flowers. A good forage plant as it grows quickly, mostly enjoyed by ruminants and rabbits. Dead head flowers to prevent self seeding.
