Majorana hortensis - Herbaceous perennial herb. Full sun.  50 cms height, 50 cms width. Used medicinally and as a culinary herb. Leaves can be used fresh or dried in cooking. A tea is also made from the fresh or dried leaves.  Can be used in a wide variety of dishes.  Used be the ancient Greeks and Romans. White flowers held in clusters, which are very attractive to bees. Prefers a well drained soil. May grow as an annual in areas with very cold winters. Mulch well to protect from harsh winters.
