Origanum onites 'Aureum' - Perennial ground cover. 20 cms height. Beautiful, bright golden coloured foliage, when it receives adequate sunlight. Full sun to part shade, but does best in a position with morning sun and afternoon shade. This will produce the best leaf colour. Culinary as well as decorative herb. Well drained, poor to average soil. Benefits from regular watering in hot weather. Looks great on the garden border or in pots. Regular harvesting or light pruning throughout the growing season helps maintain healthy bushy new growth.
