Eupatorium cannabinum - Hardy, herbaceous perennial. 40-150 cms height, 1.2 metres width. Full sun to part shade. Pink to white flowers in the summer and autumn. Flowers attract bees, butterflies, night butterflies, and other small insects. An excellent nectar plant. Flowers are small and fluffy. Likes damp, rich, marshy soils. Prefers a rich, moist soil. Its natural habitat is wet and damp places. Stems aromatic when broken. Tall bushy plant, very attractive, especially when in flower. Not frost tender, being hardy to -25 degrees Celsius. Easy to grow. Good naturalised in wild wet garden beds, with poorly draining soil.
