Heimia salicifolia - Shrubby perennial herb. Full sun to part shade. Grows to 3 metres height. Native to the Americas. A long use in traditional medicine by native people of Mexico and Central America. Heimia produces showy, pretty yellow flowers en masse, from spring to autumn. Easily grown in most soil types, especially enjoying rich, moist, well drained soil. Narrow green, willow like leaves. Mulch well to protect rootstock in very cold water.
