Solidago gigantea - Herbaceous perennial. Full sun to part shade. 1-2 metres height. Spreads via underground rhizomes to form a clump. Large heads of small yellow flowers, from summer to autumn. The flowers will attract beneficial insects into the garden. Prefers a wet to moist soil. Will grow on pond margins. Will grow in most soil types. A medicinal herb. Stems can be used to make baskets.
