Curcuma amada - A herbaceous clump forming curcuma with traditional use for both medicinal and culinary purposes. The young shoots, rhizomes and flowers are all eaten as vegetables and for food flavouring. The rhizome has a scent and taste similar to mangoes. Mango Ginger has many traditional medicinal uses. Grow in part shade in humus rich very fertile well drained soil.
