Artemisia dracunculus- A herbaceous perennial herb. A highly esteemed culinary herb, used especially in French cooking. French tarragon is also beneficial in aiding digestion. Leaves can be used fresh or dried for cooking. 70 cms height, with an upright growth habit. Produces small yellow flowers in the summer. Likes full sun to part shade. Drought tolerant once established. Also a medicinal herb, used both internally and externally. The growing and dried herb repels insects. Will grow well in coastal gardens. French Tarragon likes a well drained soil. A good ornamental plant with fragrant foliage.
