$8 for 10 bulbs available Jan/Feb 2017. Freesia refracta ‘Alba’ - Hardy bulb. 20-25 cms height. Full sun for strong stems and best flower production. Fragrant creamy white flowers. Flower stems carry a succession of opening flowers The lovely old fashioned variety, that used to grow everywhere.Flowers make a good long lasting cut flower. Grow in a well drained soil. A great bulb for naturalising, and looks great planted en masse. Can be left undisturbed in the ground, no need to lift out each year. Needs to be kept fairly dry when dormant, but water as needed throughout the growing season. Will grow well in pots. When planting bulbs plant them pointy end up, to a depth of about 5cms. Bulbs will self multiply.
