Inula helenium - Perennial herb. Long history of cultivation for medicinal and edible uses. Roots candied and eaten. Leaves eaten cooked. Bright yellow flowers, a very attractive plant for the garden. Grows up to 1.5 metres height. Will grow in most moist soil types.
