Sambucus ebulus - A beautiful European native perennial plant, used edible plant. An important medicinal herb since ancient times, with many medicinal uses. The berries are used cooked in a variety of traditional dishes. Berries are toxic raw and must be properly cooked to be consumed. The whole plant grows to about a metre tall by about a metre wide.
