Sambucus nigra ‘Black Lace’ - A beautiful, highly ornamental Elderberry variety. Dark, almost black lacy leaves. Beautiful pink flowers produced in large clusters look great against the dark foliage. Full sun to part shade, the foliage colour is better with some sun. But they are happier with afternoon shade in really hot areas. Black berries follow flowering, berries can be cooked and used as you would standard elderberries. N.B plants I send do not have the fully black leaves yet as I grow the plants on with some shade to preserve moisture in the summer months in their pots. They are the correct plants, foliage will colour up with more sun.
