Agrostemma githago - Old fashioned annual English wild flower. Another of those once common but now rare plants. Looks great in the cottage or herb garden. Although a toxic plant, it has a history of traditional medicinal uses. Toxic to grazing animals and poultry, be careful where you plant this. Grows well in most soils in full sun to part shade. Will self sow.
