Cistus ladanifer - A beautiful evergreen herb from the Mediterranean region. A long history of traditional medicinal uses. The source of medicinal labdanum. Also a very ornamental plant, covered in papery white flowers with a red/ maroon spot at the base of each petal. Grows to about 1.5 metres height. Grows well in most well drained soil types.
