Dichopogon strictus - Australian native perennial edible and ornamental plant. Roots and flowers are edible. The roots are consumed raw or cooked. The pretty purple flowers also have the scent of chocolate. Full sun to part shade, with well drained soil. Will withstand drought once established, but looks best with adequate watering.
