Akebia longeracemosa - A perennial climbing vine from Eastern Asia, that produces edible chocolate flavoured fruit and really beautiful cup shaped red-purple flowers with a vanilla scent held on long racemes in the spring. The purple sausage shaped fruit requires 2 or more plants to be grown to be produced. Plants can be clones for fruit production. Part shade in moisture retentive soil.
