Apium prostratum var. filiforme - A lovely green, lush looking native edible. So far it has been really productive and growing well during this really cold winter. A good cut and come again vegetable, eaten raw or cooked. Both the stem and leaves can be eaten, having a flavour similar flavour to common celery. The aerial parts can also be dried for later use. I have only recently started growing this variety of native sea celery, so am not sure if it is perennial or biennial.
