Calamintha nepeta - Herbaceous perennial. 30-60cms height, 30-50cms width. Full sun to part shade. Beautiful spikes of lavender blue flowers from summer through to autumn. Medicinal and culinary herd. Whole plant is very attractive. As a culinary herb, leaves are used fresh or dried. Used in Italian cooking. Requires a well drained, moist soil. Flowers attractive to bees and butterflies. Foliage fragrant, mix between mint and oregano.
