Pimpinella saxifrage - Long lived perennial vegetable..A medicinal and culinary herb. Burnet Saxifraga has a century’s long history of use as a medicinal plant, and is used both internally and externally. 80 cms height by 40 cms width. Frost hardy. Grows well in most garden soil types. Burnet Saxifrage produces pretty white umbels of flowers in the Spring and Summer, which are very attractive to bees and pollinating insects. Best grown in part shade, with cool, moist conditions. Leaves and seeds are edible. Once cultivated as an animal fodder plant, much enjoyed by grazing animals, especially sheep and cattle.
