Spiraea salicifolia - Deciduous shrub, growing to about 1.8 metres high. Young leaves edible and Bridewort also has traditional medicinal uses. Prefers a moist soil in full sun to part shade. A good hedging plant, spreading via suckers to fill the area, and looks beautiful when in flower producing dense panicles of pink flowers. Very cold hardy and a great plant for pollinators.
