Trigonella caerulea - A pretty annual European herb, with lovely blue clover like flowers. Blue fenugreek is an edible plant, young leaves and plants are eaten raw or cooked. The dried leaves, seeds and seed pods are also ground into a spice and used to flavour various traditional European dishes, including cheese and breads. Grows in most moist soil types and will also fix nitrogen in the soil. Looks great in the ornamental garden also.
