Geum urbanum - A lovely little plant for a shady area. Pretty yellow flowers. A European native, the leaves and roots are traditionally gathered in the spring for eating and medicinal uses. They are always consumed cooked. The roots have the smell of cloves when crushed. Frost hardy. Grows well in most well drained moist soil types.
