Canna edulis - Very hardy, clump forming, herbaceous perennial. Can grow up to 2 metres high. Full sun to part shade. Fast growing plant.  Edible, starchy tubers. Leaves and tubers make an excellent animal fodder. Prefers a rich soil with regular watering, but will grow in most soil types. Excellent habitat and screening plant. Large, green leaves. The leaves will die back in areas with cold, frosty winters, but regrow in the spring.
