Capsicum annum - A very popular cooking ingredient used in Turkish, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Mostly sold as a dry spice, but growing it for yourself, you can use it fresh, and it is delicious. You can also dry some for later use. Plants are easily grown, and highly productive. I feed mine with a good amount of well rotted manure when planting and this is sufficient for a seasons growth. Ready when green fruits turn dark red. Not frost hardy.
