One of the 50 fundamental herbs used in Chinese traditional medicine. Used in traditional Korean cuisine. Frost hardy. Prefers rich, moist but well drained soil. Young leaves edible, used raw or cooked. Leaves can also be made into a tea. Fragrant anise scented foliage. Upright growth habit.
