Monarda "Joseph Kline' - Hardy, clump forming herbaceous perennial. Large variety of bergamot. I metre height, 70 cm width. Full sun to part shade. Large fragrant red flowers over a long period. Flowers very attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist but well drained soil. Don't allow to dry out, especially in hot weather. Prune to the ground late autumn/ winter. Mulch well in spring/ summer. A rare variety.
