Plantago major - A hardy herbaceous perennial. Full sun to part shade. The largest of the plantains. Said to grow as tall as 1 metre height, with leaves as wide as 18cms. These are only new for us but when we find out how big they grow I will update size, but at this point they are very large. Native to Turkey. Grow as you would other plantains. It has the same medicinal properties as true plantain. A very productive animal fodder plant, especially enjoyed by goats and sheep. Also a very attractive looking plant.
